WHAT IS SUNBURN

Sunburn is caused by exposure to radiation from the sun. It is usually a first-degree burn involving the outer layer of the skin. The pain of sunburn is most intense between 6 and 48 hours after exposure to the sun. If the skin becomes blistered and or swollen you should consult your health-care provider for advice.
